How can I naturally lower high blood pressure with foods and herbs?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me to know what foods may help lower high blood pressure. Any other natural ways to lower it would help too. I am on medication but, it's still a little high. Thank you to all that can help.

Steph

Raw garlic works. I use a garlic press and put it into potato salad, that I get from kroger's.

Thank you for the response. That is very helpful. I will try that. Also, I heard too that the chemicals in garlic are stronger and work better if you crush them about 20 minutes before eating the garlic. Thanks a bunch.

A general guide to follow for promoting normal blood pressure is the DASH diet which includes foods that are low in fats, high in fruits and vegetables and low-fat dairy foods. This kind of diet would include whole grain foods, poultry, fish and nuts. It should include foods rich in potassium, calcium and magnesium, as well as fiber and protein. In addition, you can support this diet with a nutritional supplement like Blood Pressure Matrix. It contains potassium citrate, Vitamin D, folic acid and an antioxidant called taurine which supports healthy blood pressure and immune health. Natto-kinase is an enzyme from soybeans that supports healthy blood circulation and research shows its use in normalizing blood pressure. You should, however, consult with your doctor before taking blood pressure supplements .

Up your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables and exercise for at least 30 minutes a day – even brisk walk will do. Regularly check the labels on processed foods – they usually contain a high amount of sodium which you will want to avoid. You may also want to try blood pressure supplements , like Blood Pressure Matrix. Vitamin D, folic acid potassium citrate and taurine (an antioxidant nutrient) have been well researched for their role in blood pressure maintenance. Herbs such as hawthorn leaves and natto-kinase (made from seaweeds) are known to promote healthy circulation and heart functions.
