What is the name of the religion where married people are not allowed to have any children?  I believe it started in the northeast United States.

THAT WHICH DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER.

Bull. Reality is, it will usually hurt like hell and leave you with a permanent limp.

"That would be a false religion though.  God said, "Be fruitful and multiply".  There's a reason He made us man and woman."

Then I would assume (danger) that you consider the Catholics a false religion also ?

But catholic priests do not procreate.  they're pretty religious people.  and nuns.  they do not "bear fruit" of the physical kind.Wink  NJoy

Actually Betsy, much fewer than twelve.  There were nine a few years ago and they were quite elderly.  Lovely, gentle people who gave society many useful things like: beautiful furniture;georgeous baskets;the clothes pin; vegetable seeds in packets and on and on and on.  also a fantastic fresh lemon pie recipe.  InnocentNJoy

Yes, conversion was what they believed in.  They felt that was the less sinful way.  They were creating a utopia here on earth.  They often took in orphans as a way of propagating their faith also.

Remember too that the Catholic religion denies their priests and nuns the right to "biological" reproduction.

Also there are many other religions around the world who believe in celibacy.Frown
