What was the name of that movie about brothers adventuring north American wildlife?

What was the name of that movie? (I think it's allegedly based on a true story):  3 brothers (2 adolescents and the youngest is under 10 I think. or were they4 brothers?) leave home for an adventure in the wild nature of north America. The climax of the movie is when they enter (and escape) a cave of bears. Before going in the cave, they meet the wife of a man who, if i recall correctly, was killed by the bears. The wife tells them not to go there.

The movie has many wild nature scenes, and, if I still remember, some original shootings that were taken by the real brothers.

OK - that's about all I can remember. Any clue you have will help. thanks!

Are you thinking about "Wild America"?  It involves three brothers on an adventure where they film nature and seek out a bear cave.  (

Wow! I've been pondering about this for years and Googling didn't help. I have to say I didn't expect that 3 hours after posting my question here I'll get an answer - and a good one!

THANKS so much, Wannabee, for helping with this. Indeed, the movie is "Wild America", and you can get more details and purchase it at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/handle-buy-box/ref=dp_start-bbf_1_glance/104-1826405-4633544

BTW - I was right; it is based on the true story of the three Stouffer brothers. Mark Stouffer, the youngest, later became a recognizable and authoritative spokesperson for America's wildlife nature and directed a series of documentaries called... "Wild America" too.
