The girl was from a rich background. She had to marry and old man, like her grandfather age, when they got married, and where headed to the carriage, once they were in it he tried to rape her, and throw her dog to the ground of the carriage and killed the dog, the highlander was watching over her took the guy and killed him, will he went back in hiding and she wanted to know the guys name who helped her, her maid knew and they didn't want to tell her it's her friend from along time ago, she finally found out who this guy was and they towards the end of the movie got married. Does anyone remember this movie?
