I have music on my Ipod but it won't go to them to play.

how come my Ipod reads no music? when I connect it to my computer I see lots of music on it.My computer said it has 543 sings on it,but when I disconnect my Ipod says "no music,no albums,no artists.Why?

It probably isn't syncing up correctly. When it is plugged in, select it in iTunes and go the syncing options. Make sure the right checkboxes are checked so that all the music is synced from iTunes to the iPod. You may want to reset the iPod too.
