163 thumbs up

There were 5 releases as MackTheKnife said :

  1. And Now For Something Completely Different (1971)
  2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
  3. Life of Brian (1979)
  4. Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl (1982)
  5. The Meaning of Life (1983)

Although practically, "And Now for Something Completely Different" and "Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl" are not really "movies". The former is remastered collection of their sketches from the first two seasons of "The Flying Circus" while the later is mostly the filmed performance they gave in the “Hollywood Bowl” in 1982 (plus a couple of inserted sketches).

Neither of these introduced any new material, unfortunately. Still, a must-have for any Monty Python fan.

I was late for work this morning, because I got stuck in Zeno's paradox

Apart from the Flying Circus, the Monty Python gang made 5 movies:

Now for something completely different

Life of Brian

The Holy Grail

Live at the Hollywood Bowl

The Meaning of Life

success = amibition * persistence * luck

lol

I don't know exactly how many, I guess a quick Google could tell us. But the Holy Grail was an absolute crack up. I watched it again recently while I was feeling ill and had a great laugh.

I'll have to watch the Life of Brian again too.

I know there was another one about life. I didn't find that one so good though.

340 thumbs up

Rejected slogan #235:

Yedda - a brain the size of a planet.

Plus, several other movies were made (after the breakup) through cooperation between different group members, with some of them quite succesful and earning a cult status of their own:

  • A fish called Wanda (1988, John Cleese and Michael Palin)
  • Time Bandits (1981,  Terry Giliam, John Cleese and Michael Palin)
  • The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988,  Terry Giliam, Michael Palin and Eric Idle)
