Answer 2 out of 2

A:

I agree with Golden on this one. My mother-in-law is the sweetest woman I know, but she has her moments. She absolutely hates it when I get on to my kids for doing something they know they're not supposed to do. She will bring up oints like I never yell at them when they are at my house, well for one, she hardly ever has them, two they never listen so after asking nicely 4-10 times I get a little upset, and three when she does have them she usually gets them what they want. This is a problem I would like all grandmothers to listen and think about...when we were little(remember back ladies) we got our asses busted for tapping the back of our mothers seat in the car, am I right? Or if you moved a little while getting your hair braided, whap! with the hair brush. Little things can set a mother off to frustration.  I don't even like going around my mother in law anymore unless I don't have the kids or my husband, he doesn't make it any better. He will even point me out in front of her if I ask them to stop yelling in the middle of the chinese resturaunt, but he can do it with my mom and I don't say a damn thing.  Our mothers/mother-in-laws need to respect the fact that we are adults, sit down, eat their ice cream, and shut up! They treated us a lot different, I remember the many yells and spankings I got. I never even spank mine, so if I raise my voice a little, bite your tongue and go the Hell home!
