Caffeine is actually a substance that's supposed to increase metabolism, but only if not taken on a regular basis.

If you don't take cream or sugar, I don't see how it can have much of an influence on your diet.

There are other affects of caffeine that probably should be taken into consideration, but those are way out of my league :-)
