You are probably right I

read that the average American will have difficulties owning one. But I must say this is what happens often when a new technology is released to the market. Only people with economical capabilities can consume it later on if the technology succeeds it spreads out and also penetrates lower economical parts of the society. There is a whole theory you can read about "the diffusion of innovations".

I don't think so.

It's pricier than other devices, but it cannot be measured by any existing standard as it give you so much more... Having an iPhone means you can forget at least one other device, so in terms of what you get for what you pay, it's actually a real bargain.

I think it definately is a product only for spoiled rich kids.

In fact other than a flashy animated interface, it does not provide any new features or any better usabillity. It's like websites that are designed in Flash in comparison to websites designed in HTML. Flashy interfaces actually remove some usabillity and features to replace with some WOW factor which only impresses people who don't know what the Web really is for.

The iPhone actually costs 2000 dollars at the minimum because you are locked for 2 years at the minimum for 60 dollars per month on an outdated data plan technology.

Think New, Act Different

Smart, Since 1989

Yes, it is.

If you wish to know why ? The answer is that  Apple is selling the iPhone for more than 55% margin. I believe once they get their invested money back they will reduce the price.

 Apple iPhone margins 55%!!

Why wait until tomorrow to do what you could be doing today?

no. because today you can buy it for less then $400. i also found some unlocked iphones on ebay for sale for $500 so for what you are getting, it is a good deal. but if you wait two more months, i think the price will be even lower than now and apple will update the iphone by then to a better version so if you want to buy one, just wait a little. i know that in the US not only do rich people own an iphone but also any average american can buy one for himself.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY DAD AND MY BROTHER HAVE IPHONES AND WERE NOT RICH!!!! lol..

no its not :P

iPhone Devs != Rich

Of iPhone apps in this economic climate. While tough, I'd say to do it both at the same time, until to get some features that Apple doesn't allow, not to use cracked apps.Quote: : Not everyone Anyone else see this?
