am I responsible for a car rental bill, because I was listed as a driver?
Hi singer,
I've never heard of such a thing. You might have a moral obligation to help the primary driver pay for the vehicle if you drove it, but legally I cannot see how you would be responsible.

My guess is yes. If anyone is listed as a driver when renting a car, then the cost should be split between all of the drivers.

Hi,
I think that whoever rented the car at the rental place should pay. When you rent you have to sign an agreement. Whoever signed the agreement is supposed to pay. You may have a verbal agreement with someone who drove with you that you'll split the rent, but it is not binding.
