Today Stacy went alone to the 99 cent store and found two Ralph Lauren items and one other item When Stacy came home she showed her mother what she brought and her mother fell in love with all three items and wanted the Ralph Lauren. But Stacy said no way are you going to get it. Her mother said that she really didn’t want it but Stacy is selfish. Then Stacy’s mom reminded Stacy to go online and get the time and locations of where AARP volunteers were doing tax returns.
When Stacy was online looking up the info her mother joined Stacy and looked online with Stacy. Stacy’s mom said “Stacy you should have gone today to do your taxes” Stacy “Then I wouldn’t have found the clothes” Her mom “The taxes are important” Stacy “So is the Ralph Lauren” Her mom “You could have done both. You did tell me earlier that you noticed that the other individuals buy all the crappy stuff”
Stacy was upset because Stacy did not like the comment her mother made about the taxes being important right after Stacy commented that Stacy would never have found the Ralph Lauren clothes. Stacy felt as if her mother was saying big deal you wouldn’t have found the Ralph Lauren items. MY QUESTIONS (1) Is Stacy overreacting; (2) Do you think that is what Stacy’s mother is saying; (3) and what would tell Stacy to make her feel better? Thanks
