Is there anyone else out there like this? ..I make HUGE MISTAKES! Bad decisions that turn into life altering.. damnation, misery and regret! I dig these graves in my life everywhere I go that I can never get out of! The way things have been going for me over these past 44 years, the only thing that could possibly happen next is I end up in prison for the rest of my natural life! What is this???!!! Does anybody understand? Can anybody relate?

You have taken the first step by admitting your mistakes. Everyone makes them and the important thing is to learn not to make that mistake again. Take some time to write down your problems, divide them into personal, legal, financial, etc. Most cities have a hotline where you can get help for a variety of problems. Check under your city government listings or call the main number and ask for a hotline number. Watch out for toxic relationships. Remember the old saying, "you can do bad by yourself", in other words, if friends drag you down or cause you to get in trouble, you don't need them. Be strong. Let me know how you're doing. Best Wishes

Thank you jck. You have given me some great ideas. It's funny, I have such an easy time understanding and helping other people with their problems, but when it comes to myself.. I'm a mess! What do we call that?.. "Too close to the forest to see the trees?" Lately I feel like I should sport that saying around with me on a T-shirt! LOL!

Thanks again. Smile

Hi Asha, I like your name, and I can see very much within the paragraph that is holding your lifes experiences that ends with a question. I also like your word style in that it just plain says it like it is without all kinds of rosy bull spit. One of your greatest qualities is simply possessing the humble ability to admit that you have made mistakes, and not just little mistakes, but huge mistakes!! Misery and regret!! A grave digger toooooo!!!! And guess what Asha. . . .I can well relate to you, so your not at all alone! You said. . . the only thing that could possibly happen next is I end up in prison for the rest of my natural life! Want more good news? You just might end up in prison with the disgusting, lying, corrupt, greedy, power hungry, slime sucking sicko’s that are rulers in high places here in the USA that is on a spiral downfall of no return. Yet,with faith and obedience. . . . There will be a way to keep from the grave, or to crawl out of the grave, or to be resurrected out of the grave, or to just never even see a grave. . . for with God, all things are possible. I have 10 years on you Asha, therefore my misery, regrets, huge mistakes, life of prison, and graves dug, are even deeper that yours. So much for comedy hour. . . . All that is a requirement from God to you, me, and the whole human race. . . .Which is to be like Him in character, character, character. To be like Him in every way. To have His love, kindness, care, honesty, righteousness, eternity, understanding. wisdom, knowledge, and in short. . .to have the mind of Christ. For with that mind, no matter what goes wrong, or no matter how deep the hole, or how huge the mistake, through prayer, with faith, God will give you the needed inner peace to deal with all things. In those last six words that I just wrote, Christ Himself, who is the Word, plainly tells us throughout the instruction book that He authored called the Holy Bible. . . . all of the ways to become a god like being with eternal salvation. . . “unto all them that obey Him” . . . But you know what is so sad Asha? Even though the instructions are there to read, study, absorb, and understand with obedience. . .99.9% have been deceived simply because they believe whatever they are taught without proof of scriptures from self studies like the Bereans in Acts 17:11. Because my whole life is God with no middle man, all scripture is interpreted by scripture . . . here a little, and there a little. Because of your heart and humility, God is pleased with you. That is because only the humble are teachable, whereas those that have egos, arrogance, and pride, can not be taught truths because their puffed up minds already believe that they know all things. . . but soon the great tribulation is going to teach truth God's way. Take care my friend Asha. .

Thank you for all your time and effort trying to help me understand all this, Timesoftrouble. Your words caused a couple different emotions to rise up, and light bulbs to flicker. Laughing  Definately worth reading again, and again.  I hope I can be as helpful to you as you've been to me here, in the near future.

See you around Yedda, my dear friend.

Asha, no matter how badly you screw up, there will always be people worse off than you.  I know lots of people that dig their own graves, so to speak.  It's pretty normal behaviour for us mortals.  I like to say that everybody is their own worst punishment.

You haven't done so badly.  You have kids and family, a home, and a future (outside of jail).  As long as you don't make the same kind of mistakes over and over again, you'll be okay.  If you are making the same kinds of mistakes, you might need help to recognize where you are going wrong.  At what point you quit behaving rationally and take that irrational step and pick up the shovel.  That you need to stop.
