I am 12 weeks pregnant with bipolar 2, ocd, and ...

I am 12 weeks pregnant with bipolar 2, ocd, and anxiety. I was abruptly taken off of effexor and abilify in september and put on lamictal and wellbutrin. I was taken off the wellbutrin last week due to increased anxiety and worsening of ocd. I have been upped on my lamictal to 150 mgs last wednesday, as well as upped on my lexapro, which I have been on for a month to 20 mgs. I am still very anxious, very ocd, and very depressed. Can this be from the wellbutrin withdrawal or am I on the wrong medications, or can the pregnancy be holding me back from completely recovering? I am desperate and my psychiatrist is on vacation. Please any advice or help would be appreciated.

I think that this is something that you really need to have checked out with a professional. If your psychiatrist is on vacation, I'm sure that they must have a referral that they can give you. This is serious as you are pregnant, and you really need to make sure that you are getting the best care and advice that you can. Good luck and really wishing you all the best.

You definitely need to consult with a psychiatrist for any medication issues.  I am sure your Doctor has someone covering for him for emergencies and I think your situation is definitely an emergency.  Being Bipolar and OCD and having anxiety requires you to take medication every day to control your symptoms.  You should not have to suffer through the stresses of mental illness on top of the stresses of pregnancy.  You need to call your doctor's office as soon as you can and get a referral and make an emergency appointment.  You need to consult with a psychiatrist and tell him about the Effexor and Wellbutrin and all of your other symptoms.  Please do it soon as the sooner you start the faster you will start feeling better.  I should know....I am Bipolar I with Psychosis and sometimes it takes awhile to find the right combo of drugs.

Good Luck
