My first guesses are Fibromyalgia or arthritis. But you really need to see a doctor, as no one is terribly good at diagnosing anything over the internet.

Fibromyalgia or arthritis.   Many auto-immune diseases (ie. colitis, arthritis) can cause muscle pain    symptoms, feels like arthritis but it is not.   Get a blood test to see if all is normals FSH, C reactive.   very important.  Also hormones play a big part in this.   Worth a visit to a good G.P.     Good luck.

There's no reliable diagnostic test for fibro. But the pain you describe doesn't sound like the pain I get. What I get from fibro is a pain like an injury, a muscle strain or sprain. Often in my feet, ankles, knees and hips. At times I've tried to stand up after getting out of bed in the morning and one of my legs will collapse on me because during the night the fibro has decided to move there.

Newly Republican as of  October of 2009..I feel children and women should come before men..Only real men don't cheat in relationships

I would  ask the doctor  to give you test to check for  auto-immune system diseases Also  ask  for  MRI and possible X-Rays  to rule out  what  might  be the problem
