I have been taking GLIPIZIDE ER 2.5MG for my type 2 diabetes,and also just started a blood pressure medicine called lisinopril 10 mg for about 2 weeks my blood pressure used to be 140/80 and is now 120/69 pulse rate 77 ,I have started getting palipatations lately can the medicine(s)be the cause?

I also take diabetes medicine and high blood pressure medicine. My doctor put me on propafen one for heart palpitations. Call your doctor or ask a nurse. But iamjustcurious has given me very good health advice

Yes, irregular heart beat is one of the side effects of Glipizide and Lisinopril. Additionally, Glipizide can occasionally cause low blood sugar in some patients. Nanadee, thank you for your vote of confidence.
