A:I have had Type 1 diabetes for close to 30 years and the best help that I received when it came to planning my meals was when I sat down with a dietician and we worked out a meal plan. Not only do I have diabetes, but I also require a gluten-free diet and I am a vegetarian, so I was not your typical case. We sat together one time and since that time I have stayed with this plan and my bloods sugar have been under control.
