I would say any diet that restricts foods or requires only a few types of foods is not a good diet for anyone. You have to be very careful when deciding on any diet plan. The best weight loss plan to be on is a calorie based weight loss plan. When you boil down weight loss it always ends in calories. Calories control if you gain weight or if you lose weight. You can get a  well balanced diet that will help several medical issues with calorie plans. Now I know you are thinking counting calories ugh no way. Well there are programs now that take care of all that. Not only that after awhile you get the hang of it and you just know. You have to be able to keep regular foods in your diet in order to be able to deal with a diet. Restricting foods will just cause you to want to binge or go overboard and it is stress to your body. Learning foods that boost your metabolism will also help with cholesterol issues as well as other medical conditions. Learning about foods is the best diet option for any situation.

Let me give you a few tips that can help your cholesterol problem (and help with weight loss) within a week or so. Almonds. Eating almonds will lower your cholesterol levels dramatically. In addition to the cholesterol benefits almonds are a weight loss metabolism boosting food. If you eat a serving of almonds as a snack between breakfast and lunch you will feel as though you had eaten a full meal. Doing this will naturally cause you to choose a light lunch. You will feel full so something light will catch your eye and you probably won't even eat it all. In addition to the almonds I suggest eating fiber in the morning. Eat a fiber one bar or an apple just eat something that is fiber related. Eating fiber early in the day will boost your metabolism and you will eat less. These are some things that helped me lose 80 pounds over 2 1/2 years ago. I have kept it off too. If you want to know more about a great calorie based weight loss program that will teach you everything I know that helped me visit http://www.weightlossconsultant.info Good luck and remember to check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program to make sure it meets your medical needs.

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.

I have had Type 1 diabetes for close to 30 years and the best help that I received when it came to planning my meals was when I sat down with a dietician and we worked out a meal plan. Not only do I have diabetes, but I also require a gluten-free diet and I am a vegetarian, so I was not your typical case. We sat together one time and since that time I have stayed with this plan and my bloods sugar have been under control. In addition, if you are interested, here is a web page from the American Diabetes Association called The Diabetes Food Pyramid. Here you will find a meal planning option that divides food into six groups. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Dont listen to weightlossconsultant. She/He has obviously has no idea what diabetes is.

Any Diabetic can tell you that the TYPES of foods are VERY important to a diabetic.

Just ask them what happens if you eat a fruit when blood sugar is low compared to eating some meat, and a good carb.

The bodies response is Night and Day.

I really do know something that seems to help lots of diabetics and inividuals with high blood pressure. When you start this weight loss program, the dooctor can tell you more about what has happened with numerous other diabetics, type 1 and 2.

Again, YOUR opinion. Again I ask why are you so threatened by my posts?

Ok. Counting Calories is not what a diabetic needs. Im not stating opinion though; I hope you arent either. We have learned too much about the human body to guess. When blood sugars gets low / dangerously low, calorie counting will hurt you. You could end up in a coma. Listen to your body. When you start to get light headed or dizzy, you have waited too long. Also, check those blood sugars often and see what types of foods help regulate better.

Yes almonds may help; Getting healthy fats and proteins throughout the day to balance blood sugar. Also, a range of different kinds of nutrients is good.

Listen to lavlav. There is some real experience there. +1 to you LavLav

One more thing, try MCT Oil as a supplement.

It helps to build stored muscle (ATP) muscle energy. It works like a carb, but doesnt raise blood sugar, and they have used it for years in calorie restricted diets in order to help provide calories that will actually aide in fat loss through raising ketosis through the liver.

I mean it. MCT oil is amazing. I comes from coconut oil.

Hi, I have type 2 and I have found staying away from whitebread, pasta made with semolina flour,  potatoes has helped and get plenty of excersize. Here is a link to a program that I have found very helpful. Check it out it doesn't hurt to look it over. Type 2 and being overweight is a recipe for disaster, drop weight eat small meals every 4 hours and get active. Try this program for losing weight. http://rbnj57.stripfat.hop.clickbank.net
