I'm married, Finances... Donna

I'm married, andmy husband and myself we both own  a home  we are in two month in back payment, and with other bills, my husband is the  one working at this time. it's really tight with us my husband suggest we sell our home and go rent, what should I do agree with him or disagree, I think we should stay in our home and try to make ends meet in the best ways possible until until we can get through this some other way.

And how are you feeling today?

I would suggest sitting down and making a written list: on one side, write all the pluses of staying in your home now and on the other side, all the minuses and do the same for if you guys were to rent. See what makes more sense financially for you guys. The other thing I can suggest to you is that if you are not currently working and are able to work, you should find a job, even if it's only part-time to help alleviate the bills; that may also help your prospects in keeping the house.

I'll search, while you Cool wait.

Hopefully you will make a mortgage payment soon.  Often, when you are behind three mortgage payments, the company will place your home in foreclosure.  If I were you, I would remain in the home and if it is not possible to catch up on the payment, I would try to always be two payments behind, but never three and search the classified for an organization that will help homeowners whom are facing foreclosure.  Currently, it seems that you are really one payment away from that possibility.  But before searching the financial ads in the paper, contact your mortgage company and ask the rep if there are any creative financial options that may assist you and your husband, to become current with your payments during this time of financial difficulty.  Until then, stop worrying and start/continue praying.   It's only a house, and you both can get another one later if this one is taken.  Been there and done that.
