How do I divorce my 18 year, addict husband who lives with us. We have 2 young sons. He's been in rehab twice.  He has $3000.00 worth of parking tickets in my name (van's in my name).  We've been married 5 of our 17 year relatioship.

What addiction is he struggling with? Also, is he going to rehab because he wants to change or because you are making him?

Cool Equal justice for All

The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.

As i see it your first mistake was letting an addict drive your vehicle as it means that you knew the ticket were there but yet you allowed him to drive it now you are out $ 3000.00 dollars as an arrest warrent can be issued for you. Then you say he is an addict and been in rehab twice does that not send up red flags????? then you say we've been married 5 of our 17 year relatioship. In that peroid of time you had to know he was an addict even before you married him so stop and think of the past as he is like a alcholic give them one drink and they cant stop.So why waste your time and money just get a goood lawyer and get a divorce as it will never get any better for you as it will only get worse if the abuse has not started it will you can bet on that. As to the divorce it is easy get the records so that you can prove your case then get an attorney who is on your side then get an order of protection so to keep him away so as you can get on with YOUR OWN LIFE start over. As you are better off with out the hassle of him as you can do better than this get on with your own life.
