I got a hot new invention, but no money to market it, what do i do
First of all you have not said if it was in production and what type of ratio as to cost to make and wholesale prices to retailers. If it not in production I can only assume you have protected the idea with the government in some way. As I have gone through the same issuses you are having . I plan to start slow and cheap and hope to snowball my marketing campaigne into a big one as soon as I possible can. You really do not want investors as all the money will simply dissappear in the profit they would want to invest in you, as you do all the work. Find your market and make contacts with phone calls and emails to try to offer a product submission to them to sample and see if they would like to purchase some from you for resale. This step I have gotten over with some success but beware, they want it cheap to compete with china made products to justify shelf space in their stores. If it cost $1 to make it should sell for $3 in the store. This is somewhat the basic formula but not a set standard.
