Marion Jones was sentenced today to six months in ...

Marion Jones was sentenced today to six months in prison for lying about using steroids and a check-fraud scam, despite her plea that she not be separated from her two young children for any amount of time.

She won three gold and two bronze medals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics while on performance-enhancing drugs.

She also admitted lying about her knowledge of the involvement of Tim Montgomery, the father of her older son Monty, in a scheme to cash millions of dollars worth of stolen or forged checks. Montgomery and several others have been convicted in that scam. They include Jones' former coach, Olympic champion Steve Riddick, who is to be sentenced later today.

Is this justice? Do you think she got special treatment?

I guess there is some justice, you are asking a question that I think some will agree and some won't . People who came after Jones in the competition probably think not and people who where damaged by the check fraud as well. The court claims to judge every person as equal, I guess siting in prison for lying meaning assisting a crime,  doesn't resemble  "special treatment" I think you could have said that if she got out with a plea bargain and not sit at all .

I think she was treated as any other person. The court could have given her a different punishment but it chose not to let her off easy and sent her to prison. I would say if anything the court went out of its way to prove she wasn't getting any special treatment.
