Marriage records free searches
I'm looking for a private marriage records website that has a data base that one can use to search online marriage records free.
It would have to allow me to perform a nationwide marriage records search (just a search in the respective State is not adequate) and I need reliable and current information.
Is this asking too much?
I hope not. Much appreciated.

Ok, I used Gov marriage records checks excellent service
but this is what I had to learn the hard way to get there :
1) Info from governmental and free sources are seldom up to date or exhaustive - bringing reliability into question.
2) There is most always a fee charged at governmental and "free marriage records" sites anyway. 3) Most importantly : With these smaller sites you are limited to search only one state. State departments limit their database to their respective state (understandably I suppose) but there is No government website that collects this info from the individual states nationwide. Which begs the question "What about people who have lived in various states?" Anyway, you make up your own mind but I found the paid search to be much quicker, convenient and a lot more accurate and reliable.
If this info has helped post an answer here and let me know your experiences in trying to get marriage records free.
Cheers
Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.
Yang Wan & Liu Yung-Yang, a couple from Taiwan, are usually credited having the longest marriage, at 85 (86 in some records) years. There are two other couples, in India, that also claim 86 years, but most sources do not acknowledge them.
My friend met her guy online and also needs to do a marriage records free search. I think you will need to know the full name and the county or city that the person was married in. If you don't need an actual copy of the marriage license but just evidence then an online marriage records data base will be your best tool. You will need to pay a small fee for the marriage records, but piece of mind is the key here.
Good luck..
It is not always what it seems.
I have tried to find a marriage certificate search as well. I think the best way to go about it which is going to cost you some money is a Private Investigator. It cost me $50.00, but it was worth it and I called the PI in the morning and had the answer before 6pm the same day. I was devastated. My ex. was telling me and acting like we were going to get back together. He did not even tell or invite his children and made false claims about me as an excuse as to why the children were not there. It really hurt. I think it was possible that he was married before me, but I have not been able to find out on line, and it's just not worth it to me to spend $50.00 to know.

NO you cannot find a crediable online data search of marriage records as your best bet is to hire a Attorney and have him check for you. And yes it will cost you so stop wasteing time and effort on your own get some one who has done this before as most online records are not up to date as they claim to be if you want the real records locate them your self this is your best bet.
The search for people who can answer your question continues for as long as needed - until you find the answer you were looking for.
When an answer is posted by someone who was invited (byYedda or by yourself) to answer your question, their answer is marked with a yellow "invited by Yedda".

Of course, the more helpful your answers are, the more likely you are to be invited to future questions...
I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.
Sorry, not my area of expertise.
You could check and see if your county has a marriage records free website, but I have found that most counties do not have the manpower to go through over 200 years of records and upload them to the internet. Many depend on volunteers to come in and do it, so not all counties would have records on line, and some might have but not accurate or complete.
You can also go to the court house if you live nearby. Otherwise the quickest easiest is to probably do a paid marriage records search.
Google the county clerk's office for the county you believe they would have been married in. You only need one persons full name. To see if they've been married is usually free. To get copies of the records, there's going to be a fee.
