Ok I found something great and thought I would add it here - perhaps is can help someone in a similar situation ....
I searched again for best man speech examples and luckily I stumbled upon Dan Steven's best man speech examples and toasts .
There is a small fee to get access but I consider it money well spent, I'll explain...
To get started all I needed to do was check which best man speech examples suited my personality, and the occasion. I copied most of the chosen best man speech sample and included some of their free jokes, and most importantly , I include some of my own personal stories / facts about the bride, groom, bridal party etc.
With a solid structure to work from I managed to create a funny, original and sincere speech - within an hour!
I could have done some more searches for "best man speech examples" and maybe even have found something OK - but now I have something inspiring, and it was quick to do and hassle free and, most importantly , If you are in a similar position then you will know how much pressure it took off of me!
