I am 53 years old, have nice skin, I have been wearing mineral powder, but lately I noticed it makes my skin look dry. so I'm thinking maybe powder is not good after a certain age, any idea? T
Try putting on Pond's cold cream before you put on the makeup, works for me
Put a wet tissue on yor face for some seconds after wearing the mineral powder. It'll make your face look natural and alive.

Definitely use moisturizer first...the cold cream seems like overkill but that lady must be super dry if it works for her. You might switch brands. I've worked with both Clinique and Merle Norman and MN has a mineral powder that actually gives you a moist looking glow (unless you are desert dry). Go into a salon and have someone do a makeover on you using their mineral powder. There's no charge and you might like it. I'm 61 and I cannot wear it because I'm still oily and it gives me too much of a "glow". Good luck with it...mineral powder is wonderful if it suits your skin.
Foundation is a base of the makeup, that it will influence the whole look. My mother (51 years old) uses Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Cream Foundation. It's work great. The price is only $4.99.
