Even when all else has failed you...there will always be love.

Asked about “Love & Sex on AOL Coaches

Is he lying to me?

The guy who hooked us up claims he wasn't a virgin before we got together and that he told [my boyfriend] to lie to me about it to "save our relationship". My boyfriend hasn't shown signs of cheating or lying when I mention anything about it...and the guy who told me is a notorious liar, but has known my boyfriend longer than I have and for all I know, my boyfriend is lying...Who should I believe?

Trust, honesty and open communications are all important in a relationship. I would suggest that you sit down and discuss this with your boyfriend and tell him what your concerns are. It will be up to you to believe him.

Good luck and best wishes.

I'm sorry to make my following statement........BUT.....Are you aware there is a war in Iraq..??  Israel is having bombs thrown at them.....Countries in Africa are killing each other over religion......Is your question that important???

So what, would you rather I sit here and ask why the countries in Africa are fighting or why my nation is attacking Iraq? While these matters are important to me, if I sit here and worry over such matters more than my personal life and my survival as a single human being amongst billions of others on this planet, and if I do not allow myself to grow and mature as a person before I do my part in helping to better the world, then I will not be of much help in the future.

Do not shoot me down because I have a life outside of worrying over when our troops are coming home. I have my own life to live and while I am still a constitutionally free American, I will use my rights as a citizen to enjoy my life as it is and worry about my personal issues before I confront global warming, world hunger, and other such things. I before we because as long as all members of the group are starving to death because they can't be selfish enough to eat to survive, the group fails in strength and dies.

So, who wishes to help instead of asking such questions in response?

the issue of virginity is very important and others should take it seriously

You yourself gave the answer; the erstwhile friend is known to be a notorious liar, so why believe him when your boyfriend has shown himself to be faithful?

Hi Angeltears.......I would like to apologize for my hasty response....Perhaps I am the one that has a problem, and lost my perspective in the feelings of others.....That is not my norm...

I would only repeat what has been said to you by Tiptopmanager....I think that is clear and good advice....Honesty and open communications are very important if you want a good relationship......

Good Luck to you......I hope all works out and the results make you feel more at peace.............

No problem, banker :) Those current world events are important to me as well, but I worry about personal life matters first.

Anyway, I told my boyfriend what happened and he swears he's been honest the whole time. I trust his word over Joe's. The only problem is, what Joe had to say would have been convincing, if I didn't know and trust my boyfriend as well as I do. What if this time he is telling the truth?

Since this is a long-distance relationship (I'm a USA girl, he's from the UK, and the friend lives in Canada), I can't know for certain what he's up to 24/7. I'm around him most of the time via skype, but for those times when he's out partying with friends, I have no idea what else he could be doing.

However, I choose to stand by my boyfriend no matter what.

Here's another question...What is it that would bring Joe to do such things? I can only figure that since he told me he's in love with me, that must be it...He's been trying to break us up pretty much since we met the 6 month point (we're almost at 2 years now, will be so in June), so that's my only guess as to what could be his reason. I just think it's dumb that he's after me when he has a wife and he was the one to hook us up in the first place. I just don't understand why he's pulling this on us.

Relationships at such a distance are difficult......I also would believe your boyfriend unless you have concrete proof of otherwise......

Good luck and hopefully this relationship can work out.....

Sounds like he is "pulling this on" you when he told you he loved you....

It does not sound fair to have a wife and try to hold you on the side...If he was a true friend, it should make him happy to make you feel more at peace within your relationship.......

Well, it turns out Joe had confused Alan with someone else. So the information wasn't false, it was just false about Alan. I talked about it with Alan, who then talked with Joe to find out what he was on about and we cleared it all up. Thanks for the help guys :)
