Former lovers

Hi,

     Yes it is very true.  I am just speaking on my behalf.  I am  a guilty

party here.  I talk about previous boyfriends not because I want to hurt the feelings of the new boyfriend but just to tell him that this particular person hurt me in a lot of ways.  I think it is just for the sake of letting the new love know what happened in the past.  Women are different than men in that we like to give tiny details  about the past while men don't bother with details.  I noticed that with my boyfrined.  He does not talk about his exes not until I ask him.  I think he does not even want to answer me when I ask about his ex-wife.

     Sorry about that guys,  I guess we women are just detail-oriented.  We don't mean to hurt your feelings by talking about the exes.  That's just the way we are.

It's usually just a crazy part of our past, and we want to share it with you.  I think that a lot of us look at our guys as friends that we can talk to about everything!  Or atleast we want to.  I can relate with Dogbreeder,  I've done that in the past too.. but no more!   I can give you this advise, it worked on me long ago;.. The very first time a girl opens her mouth about her Ex, good or bad, tell her to Stop.  Be strait forward, and tell her you don't want to hear about "what's his name", that you really couldn't care less.  Ask her how she'd feel if you talked about your Ex's and mentioned their names all the time?   I know that might sound rude, but if you're honest right off the bat, a smart girl will get the message.

Sure wish I had an answer. It can be irritating and destructive. The only thing I know for sure is that it is not a two way street.

I believe they do it to make the current lover jealous...YOU!
