Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

If you can't get him back at least get over the regret by telling yourself, time and again, that you learned the lesson and that you won't fall again.... We say in Hebrew (I am sure you have it in all other languages as well): "The excellent is the enemy of the very-good"....  One is not happy (satisfied) with the "very good" and gives it up for the excellent.... and that specific excellent not always appears / comes..... and one remains empty handed.....
Best regards,

Sometimes it is easy to build someone up in your head if they are in the past, and convince yourself they they were the right person for you. There is probably a reason why you ended it in the first place and I am sure that when you find the right man, you will know. Do not be so hard on yourself. You will find someone soon enough. I am convinced that finding that person who "completes you", is worth the wait. Good luck.

Hold tight to and understand that just because the grass appears greener on the other side of the fence, it doesn't mean that it actually is. After all, the neighbors could be using artificial turf! I'm going to make an assumptive jump here and say that you'd probably rather have the real thing!

In all seriousness though, I believe the best way to "get over (your) regret" is to pause, reflect back  for a moment and ask yourself the pertinent question, "Why?" If you are truly honest with yourself in answering why you didn't move forward with that man at the time, you can begin to use that piece of information to search for the one who has ALL the pieces that make your "perfect man puzzle" complete.

Additionally, take time each day to find the positive in what you DO have. Appreciate the soft, lush grass under your feet and stop looking behind you at the grass in your neighbor's yard.

The great thing about LIVING is that we can always do better. Don't think of it as a loss, now you have a new opportunity to have even a better life. Take the good in you that was him and share it with another deserving person. Even he will appreciate you moving on and doing well. Remember you are in the middle of this life.... live it! Do you dwell on all of the other dumb choices you've made... I hope not... so enjoy your next breath... each one is a gift... don't poo poo tomorrow because yesterday was poop!
