Be in love with his wife, yet cheat

Cheating does not necessarily have a lot to do with love, so yeah. Lots of men cheat not because they don't love their wife, but because they feel insecure, or they need to find something in themselves they don't find in their legitimate relationship. It could even be the need for the thrill of the danger, and the fear of being caught. More often than not, the cheating takes place because of the cheater, and not becauof the innocent party.

On the other hand it's quite a blow to the self esteem, and I can't see myself rationalizing about how my husband still loves me even if he's at it with another woman, so I guess there's little comfort in that. 

As a man, I would find it very difficult to rationalize cheating on my wife if I was in love with her. So in answer to your question, I think the answer is no. I think if you are truly in love with your wife, the thought of causing her any heartache or pain by going out and cheating on her would be the furthest thing from your mind.

No ways, it is contradicting.  If a man really loves his wife he will never cheat on her.  Those who cheat don't really love their wives, they may care for them but not be in deep real love.  A man who really loves his wife will do all he can not to hurt her, in any possible way !.

some men have the ability to seperate sex from love. Some men can be in love with a woman but have sex with another woman. Sex to some men is just like feeding your hunger when it comes to food. What man hasn't had sex with someone that they don't love. I lot of men at one point in time have had sex with a person they don't love. The thing is that when I man loves a women he doesn't want to hurt her so he controls this desire but under the right circumstances the men who can seperate sex from love may not be able to control the urge. Some men just have to mature to the point on knowing that it is better to be faithful to your mate.

nah, just make sure that the wife doesn't find out and she won't get hurt. very simple. so yeah, sure a man can do that and still love his wife.
