Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
No.....  still there can be situations that it's innocent, e.g: Something to do with the children or something to do with money..... and only where it is a clear MUST.  Sure not personal / private texts.
Best regards,

"Drive it like you stole it"

If they have children together, I guess that would be alright, if they are text messages regarding the children, or child support.  Or if she is still friends with her ex, I don't see the harm in it.  If you have a problem with it, talk to her about it, tell her it bothers you to a certain level, but don't seem too demanding about the situation, let her explain to you their relationship, or the reason for the text messages.  Also this shows a sign of insecurity on your part, if you trust her, then you shouldn't worry to much about it.  Best regards

Live simply, love generously and  care deeply.

Hi,

   I agree with OronD.  I gave 2 thumbs up.  I would like to add that this contacting the ex-husband should not be done by text messages where sometimes there is some element of secrecy there.  If she wants to talk to her ex about the children, it should be done with the new husband's presence so he knows what they are talking about.   Let her use the cell phone or the land line, so the husband will hear all that have been said. This behavior of texting should be avoided because this causes doubts on the part of the husband.  There should be NO SECRETS when 2 people are married.  That way, they will build on more TRUST which is a very important ingredient in a healthy, successful and loving relationship.

Take care and let her do the right thing.

{Insert Catchy Phrase HERE}

I'd have to go with everyone else on this one, if they have kids together they'll need to stay in touch for that reason.  I'd also be inclined to let it go if they'd been friends for a very long time, like childhood sweethearts that broke up on good terms or something.  As long as it's innocent and she's not texting him for a late-night hookup (or mid-afternoon) when you're out I'd probably let it go.  Sometimes after people have been together a really long time it's hard to completely shut a person out of your life.  I personally maintain contact with about a half-dozen of my exes just because I've known them forever and it would be weird NOT talking to them ever again and my gf understands that.
