It depends how you define "future".  I would try to fix those "no realtions" and if I failed I would leave.  At 38 I can't emagine living without love and without sex.  My best advise: Give a final try to bring your relations back to track.  That should be a real hard try !, do it sensitively and smartly... as if it is the project of your life (in fact it is).  Don't give up love and sex for some "artificail comfort" and "peace"
