Why do you love God ?

I believe in God because of being raised into it but as a teen I questioned my faith to later realize I was wrong question him and losing a bit of faith ? I had gone through alot of never ending tramatizing stuff I found myself lost when I awoke from a prayer I was wrapped in his warmth of love I was no longer in the dark he had shared his beauty with me lighting up the darkness that surrounded me. MY QUESTION IS WHY DO YOU CHOOSE TO FOLLOW HIM?

May I respectfully ask who told you not to question God? That is so not part of his make-up...he wants us to get to know him for he tells us to draw close to him and he will draw close to us (James 4:8). He also sent his son Jesus Christ, not only as a ransom sacrifice for us but to allow us to get a glimpse into what Almighty God is really like in a way that we would understand, therefore Jesus became flesh and resided among us (during his time on earth). I love Almighty God Jehovah because He loved me first - John 3:16 - He gave his best, his only-begotten son. There are so many more reasons but the post would be way too long! I chose to follow God after I learned why we are here on earth, what God's purpose is for humans and because the truth about everything was revealed in His word the holy scriptures so after an intense study of the bible, I decided to be a believer of God and a follower of Christ. I am also tired of seeing people suffer; tired of senseless crime and starvation in countries where it's not necessary.  God's kingdom is the answer!!

I believe the reason for pain and suffering is because if life on earth was a wonderfull paradise there would be no reason for heaven. the reason for our being possibly might be because he wants us to have a choice to. To prove to the devil, his angels, and to us humans that loving him is an option not a requirement.  I too don't like knowing people all around the world are enduring tragic pain either but when our time is up for life on earth all how are worthy will be greeted with an ultimate prize, the glory of god in person.

Hi Angelis. What an awesome experience you had.  I wonder if God comes to us according to our own personality, what He knows we need in order to believe in Him, when He knows we are ready, and if we ask.

For me, I have been blessed to have always believed in God.. seen Him as my Heavenly Father. Still I fell away from Him in a big way! Infact I told Him that I wanted to do what I wanted to do, and I asked Him to just please leave me alone.  (I wanted to sin and not feel so bad about it)!

Well as you might know, being a selfish sinful person gets very tiring. I started to feel weary and depressed all the time, lost almost.  So I Prayed out to God one day, telling Him how sorry I was, and how confused I felt. Asking Him to please let His presents be known in my life again.

Days went by, and then I had a dream that I was sinking to the bottom of a really deep pool.. I was weighted down by something, but I never hit the bottom.

Then the next day I was wide awake. I was at my kitchen sink doing dishes or something, and I had the most amazing sensation come over me,  This incredible, undiscribable (CLEARITY)!  At 37 years old, I had never in my life known the reality of God as I did at that very moment!  He showed me the difference between this foggy uninformed exsistance we live in, compared to the clean clear Love and Wisdom of where He is.  It's another demention!!!!!!!  I swear to you God is real, Heaven, Angels, all of it is there and it is amazingly real. All the information we try so hard to seek here about God, all the years we spend, all of it will all be known to us in a matter of seconds! Seconds!.. everthing!

I only knew this demention.. (for lack of a better word) for 5 seconds, and then I was back in the Fog.  After being shown, and (feeling) that incredible sensation, I look forward to doing what's right by God, I cannot wait for my life here to be finished so I can go to that Clean Peaceful Intellegent place where God is.

This is why I choose to follow Him. Thanks for reading! God Bless you Angelis, and doingmybest!

Smile

Yes at one time i also put a question to God i said if you love why did you put me with these drunken parents and i cried to him alot as a child and many times as an adult in my darkness and he has been leading me out of(Darkness is not just sin it is ignorance of truth.

But the reason i love him is His Righteousness and his love for us and for his creation the earth is so beautiful what a wonderful place to live it gives us everything we need And our Abba made for all flesh!

i love him because he is soooooo patient with us humans to wake up and really listen to his voice and only his Voice that is spoken to us in the Torah the first five books of the bible.I love him because he always does what he said he would.

i know that he will destroy the wicked in one day and the children of the earth will no longer suffer the crultey and selfishness of the wicked no more tears like the ones we cried when we were little and feeling unloved!

i know he hurts very much every time a child crys to him i know because of the story of Sodom and Gamorrah where it says the crys of the children have reach his ears and he could not longer put up with it!

i love that he sent his son(Which is something he said he would do) to us to teach us the TRUTH and the WAY to a Righteous LIFE!By obeying the commandments of His Father the one and only True God.

YHVH is so Wonderful and his Marriage Vows are the Torah and they are perfect it is the way he wants to be worshiped and they way to live in Peace with all man kind!

i love that!!

Blessing's & Shalom

Truth, --not bombs.

In the beginning, at a time when I was down and out, I fell in love with Jesus' sermon on the mount.  I felt then, that whoever wrote it had the best wisdom I had ever encountered and I chose to follow it.  I think it was already in me, like common sense, verified and brought to the surface.  How else could mankind find world peace, than to follow the teachings of Jesus? I thought, at least, that when my time comes I will die happy, whether right or wrong.

As time went on, I came to know and believe that Jesus is real.  I lived it and did the research.  We can know of the things invisible by the things that are visible.  His Word has held up all these years.

Does God Exist, and Is the Bible His Word?

In the beginning, --what?

Declaring that evolution is responsible for the origins of life cannot be true. What evolved? Evolution is about changes over a period of time in things that  already exist.

Contrary to what is taught in our public schools; God and science are not at odds with each other.

Both the Bible and today’s science show us that there was a beginning. Knowing definitely there was a beginning, than what was the source? The Bible says, “In the beginning, God…” The only other alternative is to say that matter just popped into existence out of nothing. If that is so, than that statement defies all the known laws of science, making science itself unreliable.

Both the Bible and science agree; which is obvious, because science is God’s handiwork. Whenever there appears to be a contradiction, --it has always been shown to be because of either bad science, or bad theology. It’s scientists vs. preachers, not science vs. the Bible.

Both the Bible and science agree, that evolution being responsible for the origins of life is impossible, --because every seed reproduces its own genus:

“And the earth brought forth grass and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in it, after his kind …. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind …. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle and creeping thing, and the beast of the earth after his kind “ ( Genesis 1:12, 21, 24 ).

God did not give me the spirit of fear, but that of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  11Timothy 1:7

I love God for so many reasons that I don't have the room to post them all.  The Bible tells us in the first Chapter of Ephesians, that God knew us before the foundation of the world.  To know me, the filthy sinner that I was, and still, had I been the only person on the face of the earth, would send His precious, beloved, BEGOTTEN, Son to die for me and my wretched sins, how could I not love Him.

The promise that I will one day have a mansion, streets of gold, pearl gates, and have the honor to be in the household of my God.  All this and more is why I love Him.

God has walked with me through many valleys.  He stayed with me when no one seemed to care.  He lifted me from the very gates of hell.  He reached down one day, and found my heart.  I pray that when I am ready to leave this world, that the last words on my lips will be, expressing my love for my Lord.

I started following God/Jesus even before I fully believed; because the teachings of Jesus was/is the only thing that makes any sense in this world.  Look at the alternative.  Right or wrong, at least I would die happy.  Now, many years later of living and research I know that the Bible is truely the manufacturers handbook for our knowledge, inspiration and learning.  Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  There has never been a better self-help book ever written; but, the beauty is in loving God and one another.  Without freedom of choice, love could not be possible.  Thank God we are made in His image, and not toys or robots.

Let's not argue in these times.  This is what the Lord wants us to spread across our country right now:

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Matthew 28:20 (King James Version)

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
