There's no rule of thumb, and it depends on the man, the woman and the kids...

Some guys might accept three kids and consider them his own, another might feel estranged from a single child his spouse brings into the relationship. 

This all depends on the other man that is to accept the kids.........what do you really mean?

It all depends on how much the man loves the woman. Is he willing to do anything in order to be with her? If so then he will accept any number of kids. Love prevails lots of difficulties, although I don't see kids as difficulties if it is true sincere love the number of kids won't matter.

I don't know the answer, but my husband decided to marry me and raise my 3 children with me. We now also have 2 children together and I don't think that he treats mine any differently than he treats ours - he is an amazing father to all of them...

my mom had 6 kids and my stepdad took her... he never had a family of his own and he was the best dad anyone in the world could have had... and a much better husband to my mom than our biological father... so, i don't think it matters how many or if any at all... it just has to be the right person... good luck!!
