No problem. Why not just Ricki Chatworth? I don't know if that would make for legal/paperwork problems. As far as marriage is concerned......just fine.

Best wishes!

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
4th cousin is a very remote family relation and you can marry him without any hesitations (if you want......).   It is NOT considered "in the family relations" !.   As per your surname: Well I wish you that that will be your one and only "problem" in your life.
Best regards,

Sure.  That's remote enough.  I knew a lady who married a man with the same last name.  They didn't think they were related, but somewhere way back they probably were, and are.  Go for it!  Won't have to remember to write a new name!!

I don not believe in the saying: "Kill them all and let God sort them out."  I say: "Save them all, for I have not the right to judge."!!!!!!!!!!!!

4th cousin is far enough away geneticaly that there wont be any problems with having childern.  Having the same name will save you So many hours!  Drivers licence, SS card, utility bills, insurence, my head reels when I think of what I went through!  As for hyphenating your name, only the upper crust of society cares about that, and if you are of the family of New England Chatworths, use your mothers maden name, as in Ricki "fill in the balnk"-Chatsworth.  Don't let semantics get into the way of perfection.

Single and experiencing life with open heart and bright smileLaughing

That is really not a delima - by this I mean it is genetically far enough away that there is no fear of genetic defects 2nd cousins there might be. There might be on your part a moral issue that you are dealing with - such as the fact that you address him as your 4th cousin. This may be your road block. If it is truly a love and not a lust that you have for this man than persue it slowly as it may be a life changing love for you- if it not then you may just ruin a freindship you have had for awhile. Again give it thought and pray for a real answer not one of hormonal needs.  God bless and keep the faith.
