I can't really say that I'm afraid, though I have been disappointed in the past. My philosophy is that love is part of life and so are disappointments. I believe strongly in the words: "It is better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all" and that is why I haven't lost my faith in love.

I can only hope that most people haven't given up on love. If they have the world will be a sad place to live in.

Do not dwell on the past, nor worry about the future, for tomorrow may not be there. Live today to the fullest, and enjoy life!

I'm not afraid of anything,but-being as how it seems that almost everyone and everything I've ever loved--I've lost,or has hurt me,or both,I find it kind of difficult to try anymore. I BELIEVE in it--maybe it does'nt believe in me anymore? Oh well,I'll keep trying anyway. Have a great one,O.K.?

Like a lot of other things in life  it is easy to  give up.  Giving up on love  you have a lot to loose.  In my experience you can't find true happiness without driving the road. I did get hurt a couple of times but from each relationship that failed I took something with me, like a new insight that helped reach the happiness of love. Never give up!!!!

I'm a firm believer in the phrase "it's better to love and loose then not to love at all". Loving someone means putting a part of your happiness in the hand of someone else, being depended on other people is always risky, there's always the chance of getting hurt.

However, though getting hurt, well, hurts... I don't think it's just a bad thing. I've learned a lot and basically owe the person I am today to being hurt by loved ones.  Loving and loosing  had been a great force in shaping my personality.

I took a huge leap of faith about a year and a half ago, and moved half way across the world, leaving behind my family, friends and  job for a man I met on the internet, we just had our first anniversary and are still very much in love. In my case taking a chance of love really payed off.

A healthy relationship starts with trust and honesty and a big warm genuine smile.

Unfortunately, I think there are many people that have been hurt so many times that they really have given up on love. While it is very sad that this occurs nearly on a daily basis, one cannot give up hope that a higher power is watching over us, making sure that whatever comes our way, we are able to handle and conquer. And at that, we will re-learn what true love really is.
