Just a wild guess.......If you uninstalled it, then reinstalled it, would you be able to reset?? Just a thought....I pay for aol so I can't run into this problem.....

I discovered to my dismay that email from my aol file cabinet had just disappeared! i have aol 8.0 i've spoken with three techies at aol and they all say the same thing that my email has gone computer, then the files should still be accessable. If they were saved to AOL, I bet they're lost
