"What does it profit a man to gain the world if he loses his soul?"

Start eating, and fast.  You've got to eat at least three meals a day, and maybe more often than that.  By eating only one meal a day, you've slowed your metabolism so much that it will not allow you to burn calories.  You have convinced your body that you are starving and it will fight to keep every bit of fat it can.

Every story has an end but in life, every end is just a new beginning.

Losing weight and keeping it off is a lifestyle change, not a temporary diet. If you are looking to make the change, I'd suggest reading a great article called Lifestyle Changes, Not Diets, Are Key To Losing Weight that was published on Medical News Today. I think it really sums up the important aspects that most people need to change to successfully lose weight and keep it off. The three points I spend extra time focusing on are portion control, drinking lots of water and making exercise a part of my daily routine (even if it means taking the stairs instead of the elevator or parking my car further from the entrance of a store/restaurant).
I hope this helps.

Energized Living!

It's only been 3 weeks, so it will take awhile for everything to get back to normal. The fastest way for new moms to lose weight is to breast feed, because it burns 600 calories a day. I would make sure you are eating enough to support you AND the baby at this point. That is the most important thing to be concerned about after all.

Yes, as most people are saying you have to eat more calories and more meals each day.  Right now your body wants to hold on to every last cell of body fat you have, because you are literally starving yourself.

Aim for 5-6 small meals a day, and at least 1200 calories.  This will immediately boost your metabolism and help you lose weight (assuming you eat healthy foods).

if you are not sure how many calories you should be consuming daily, use this caloric intake calculator to estimate,

Once you have an idea of how many calories you should consume, work on eating all the time.  Don't let yourself get hungry.  I know this sounds crazy, but this will actually help you lose weight!

Also make sure you are active every day, drinking plenty of water, and getting as much sleep as you can (probably tough with the baby thoughSmile).

Best of luck!

Live simply, love generously and  care deeply.

Hi,

You need to eat a balanced diet but in smaller quantities.  You need to exercise more, like walking, jogging , playing tennis, dancing, and more more sex.  LOL....
