The motivation factor in weight loss is the real key. Sticking with your program is the hardest part of the fitness solution. I know that as a success coach I spend most of my time helping in that area.
One suggestion I have is to set small goals. Not only should you set a long term goal, set the small easier and faster to achieve goals. Like 2 pounds in this week or even 1 pound in the week. Also, use a calender for your program. X off the completed workouts so you can see at a glance how well you are doing. Starve to get more X's and you will not want to see the blank spaces. Be reasonable. Completing 20 workouts in the next 30 days is great!
Set rewards for yourself like a shopping trip for new workout clothes when you hit a small goal or a new treat for yourself.
Most important do not get yourself down for making a mistake. You can always pick up the program later in the day or the next day. You can also make up a bad meal the very next meal. Do not beat yourself up over it.
Lastly be sure to schedule your workouts, set a day and time and hit it as often as you can. This schedule process will help you stay with the program and make it part of your day.
