How can you get motivated & stay motivated????? I am so sick & tired of trying every diet just to lose a few pounds & gain back 10 pounds.....please can someone help me....I need to lose at least 95 pounds....!!!!!! HELP
Though your question is not the type of question that I would typically answer, I felt drawn to it due to my many years of experience as both a husband and a father of 2 daughters! Over the years, I have watched both my wife and daughters embark on numerous different diet quests, some with short-term success, and others without. It wasn't until they began looking at losing weight in terms of a lifestyle change rather than a diet, that they started to see long-lasting results. As soon as they gave themselves limitations, they set themselves up for failure. They would start out great, but in time, get very bored and then start to slip. Once they put their focus on creating healthier and happier lifestyles, without denying themselves foods that they loved, things started to change for the better. Instead they would limit their serving sizes and/or what they would eat during the rest of the day to keep their days balanced, as well as add exercise that they enjoyed. I noticed that they also used to work together, and that the support from each other was a major help in their weight-loss journeys, not to mention in their personal relationships as well. I am probably sounding like the proud husband and father right now, but I have to admit, I probably couldn't be any prouder of them and am so happy to have them all in my life!

The motivation factor in weight loss is the real key. Sticking with your program is the hardest part of the fitness solution. I know that as a success coach I spend most of my time helping in that area.
One suggestion I have is to set small goals. Not only should you set a long term goal, set the small easier and faster to achieve goals. Like 2 pounds in this week or even 1 pound in the week. Also, use a calender for your program. X off the completed workouts so you can see at a glance how well you are doing. Starve to get more X's and you will not want to see the blank spaces. Be reasonable. Completing 20 workouts in the next 30 days is great!
Set rewards for yourself like a shopping trip for new workout clothes when you hit a small goal or a new treat for yourself.
Most important do not get yourself down for making a mistake. You can always pick up the program later in the day or the next day. You can also make up a bad meal the very next meal. Do not beat yourself up over it.
Lastly be sure to schedule your workouts, set a day and time and hit it as often as you can. This schedule process will help you stay with the program and make it part of your day.
