The Player,as well as the captain, wants/want to win.
Kindly let me the know the correct answer for these to questions
Both are plural and should be modified as such.
1. Tweezers (scissors)
2. Player and Captain are two people
Are the tweezers in the drawer
They player, as well as the captain (like they) want to win
First of all, Your first phrase depending upon its context needs to be changed to:
Are the tweezers in the drawer?
And Secondly, the next phrase should be changed to:
The player, as well as the captain would like you to win.

Tweezers are always plural and should therefore take the plural form of the verb thus,
On the second question, "as well as the captain" is an intervening phrase and therefore should not form part of the subject and since the subject (the player) is singular, the sentence should then be:
The player, as well as the captain, wants to win.
Is it wrong to write/ say,
He is involved in the robbery case.
