We're put on earth to learn, so don't waste your time.

First off, Social Security is a Federal Tax.  No, you can't sue them, so no lawyer.  States of residence do not have a thing to do with Soc. Sec. More than likely you will have to get a job.  Go get job training while your husband is with you.  Go to college, do something or your future will be dismal.

If you go to, or call a local college or trade school, they can put in for a (free) grant (you don't have to pay it back).  Then you can attend college and also, a lot of classes are online, which means you won't have to leave home, (at least not as often), usually once a week.  There are several ways a guidance counselor (at the school--again free) can helpl  I was not trying to put you down.  I was 40yrs old when I had raised my family and had to find work, so I know what you're going through.  Sorry, if I came across as demeaning.
