I recently found out that my grandmother had taken a life insurance policy out on me when i was a child and she labled herself as the beneficiary. How do I find out if in fact there is one out there and am I able to change who would get the benefits?
I'm a 20 year litigation paralegal and do probate and estate planning. Unless you know the name of the insurance company it is impossible to locate a specific policy because there are literally thousands of companies out there.
