I'm pretty sure I know everything, almost.

We are here to look after cats. Cats require staff members to see to their needs and that is our function and purpose. Everything else we do is just in addition to this basic function.

Live simply, love generously and  care deeply.

Hi,

I think we are here because God has a plan for us to do so we can glorify Him.  We are here to help people who need help.  I am a Registered Nurse and I know I have done God's will by caring for the sick and the elderly.  I thank God everyday for giving me the chance to serve people who need my help.

"Even the most ordinary man can make a difference, he just has to believe he can."

Hi Jpagotto:

How important is it for you to know?  May the following open dialogue, and generate a fact finding mission into what people deem a mystery.  This is but a tiny pinnacle at the top of the iceberg  - a start to acquiring understanding.

The answers to "why" are within the pages of the Bible. . .ignored by so many, who choose to overlook its wisdom or perhaps choose not to  take the time to search for answers.  Yet, the world continues to question. . . while the God of the Bible awaits his precious children to open its inspired pages . . .for THE answer.

Think about it: is the meaning of life in the written Word the Bible, or is the meaning of life connected to a secular life on earth?

A definitive meaning of life is defined within the pages of Bible scripture.  While, the secular meaning is not, but could be defined as: subjective to the way one sees it - the way one desires to see it - or the way it just is, with the influences of society and its inaccuracies and problems.

The Bible relays a specific purpose of "perfection" originally for the earth and man; while secular daily living shows the imperfection of man's daily grind and inability to successfully rule society and themselves as a whole.

The secular meaning of life can be measured from the human aspect of the intangibles and tangibles such as: the finding of love, relationships, establishing a home and family, commitments, marriage; and of course, those societal measurements of fame, fortune, wealth, position, materialism and power that bring many negatives into the secular equation of the perceived meaning and value of life.

What do you think is plausible?  What makes better sense?  A specific purpose derailed - absent all human pain and suffering, and death?  Or, as exists, the whirlwind display of man's everyday inability to rule and control the very conditions existing in the world today?

Consider the Biblical meaning: God created Adam and Eve, as perfect human beings to live in a perfect setting under perfect conditions and provisions; and that out of one man (Adam) every nation of men, would dwell upon the entire surface of the earth . . . to seek God, as his progeny.

But then, in freewill, and in a test of obedience: "Adam disobeyed God - his sin cost him his 'perfect' human life with all its blessings," which was passed down and inherited by his descendants.  That rebellion in Eden by Adam and Eve temporarily interrupted the fulfillment of God's original purpose.  Man was then in need of a ransom to free him from bondage to sin and death created by Adam's action.  (Gen 2:16,17 - Gen 3: 1-5, Acts 17:26-28 - Gen. 3:17-19 - Psalms 51:5 - Isaiah 45:18 - Gen 3: 17-19 - Rom 5:19)

Man was never intended to live in the kind of world like the one we do.  The God of the Bible's original purpose did not change. . . which was to have the entire earth brought under the control of a righteous human family all living together in peace and happiness, and to give humans everlasting life.   (Acts 17:26,27 - Psalm 37:34 - Prov 2:21,22 - Psalm 145:16)

God made a way for man to be redeemed magnifying His love so that in due time man would still have a hope for everlasting life free of the imperfection of this world.  -- As the first born of creation, that ransom was realized through Jesus' love and obedience to God His Father. .......  (Co. 1:14, 15 - Eph 1:7 - 1 Peter 21-24 - Mark 10:45 - Heb 7:26,27)

"Since Adam originally was a perfect human being, no imperfect human life could buy that hope back."  Only Jesus whom the Bible calls "the last Adam," in human form willfully doing his Father's bidding could ransom mankind.  Giving all of mankind a second chance.  (1 John 3:8 - Psalm 49:7,8 - 1 Timothy 2:4-6 - 1 Cor 15:45 & 22 - 1 John 4:9,10 - Phil 2:5-10, Psalm 37:29 & 34 - Prov. 2:20-22 - Psalm 145:16 - Rom. 5:12)

The fallen angel known as Satan, the deceiver and God's adversary - desired the worship that belonged to God.  Adam and Eve were his first victims.  So to this day, the question and awaited answer to God's Sovereignty continues, as written: "Woe for the earth . . . the Devil has come down to you having great anger - who is misleading the entire inhabited earth . . . as the angel of light; the father of lies . . . walking about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone."   (Rev. 12:9  & 12 -  2Cor. 11:3, 14 - John 8:44 - 1 Pet. 5:8)

By enduring faithfully Jesus proved His integrity setting an example for mankind to follow; and answering Satan's original question, tauting God, as to whether there would be those who would remain faithful under trial?

Satan a fallen angel, not only deceived Adam but continues to challenge God's Sovereignty heaping havoc throughout the world.  He will use any means to create trouble and prays on mankind's vulnerabilities.  (Rev. 12:10 - Ex 9:16 - Eph 6:11-16)

So to this day, God allows Satan to remain for a time as the fight between good and evil continues.  On His time-table God is giving man plenty of time to answer Satan's challenge and question: Will man obey God out of love and not for what he can get, or will man abandon Him and follow the machinations of the devil and his spirits; can man successfully rule himself without the help of God?  (Ex 9:16 - Ezek 38:23)

It is not strange at all, that man flounders through life unable to pull it all together, and wonders why?

What do you believe?  If man believes in a meaning of life separate from the Biblical. . .then there is no real value to the existence of a secular life - other than spontaneous existence, gleaned with all the trials and problems, inconsistency, self-imposed rules for everything one does, has or will do, and then the ultimate end is:  death that leads to no ware and no real purpose in having lived.  -- Ultimately secular living is to have lived in vain unless one considers what one has gain on earth as a reward for living - pain and all.

Wisdom is called "a tree of life to those taking hold of it." It will supply them with what they need to enjoy their present life.

As the Good Book says: "Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine."  Take not man's word, but prove it to oneself.  (1 Thess. 5:21)

May this start your journey for the truth of why we are here.
