Today's liberals are not in fact liberals: they are, "Rebels without a cause . . . or for that matter, even a clue." Tom Lehrer, 1966.
Before the Revolutionary War, liberals like Benjamin Franklin, John Paul Jones, and Paul Revere, decided that they had suffered enough under the British and took the initiative to form a new nation, based on three promises: "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . . .."
It has since fallen to Republican Conservatives to keep that fighting spirit alive. We have done so until now. Democrats hope to quench that fiery American spirit, then bring us all down to outdated socialism and tyranny for all nonconformists.
Now, people who claim falsely to have that fiery American spirit are rebels without a clue. They forget that America is the best nation on earth, faulted as we are. The fire and rebelliousness that made us Americans has become socialist complacency -- until we once again prove ourselves worthy of the freedom God and our forebears gave us.
Changing the fiery American spirit is madness. Our fiery spirit is what makes America great, faulted as we are. Only God has perfection, but only the devil claims that it is necessary to remain a free and proud people.

Having seen the "change" that Obama brought, which is all to the complacency of anti-American slouches, what are you willing to do to bring us back to that fiery Americanism that made us great in the first place?
