First, the bluetooth headset needs to be FULLY charged.  Second, go into your phone's bluetooth settings and enable its detection.  On my LG, it's called "show".  Then choose the Add new device option on your phone.  Next, hold in the button on the bluetooth device until the light is solid, not flashing.  Your phone should detect it then.  It may take several attempts, I don't know why......  but as long as the headset's light is solid, and it's fullly charged, keep trying!
