I was very impressed with this letter by Katherine Delmar Burke School:

"We are doing an international, cross-cultural pilot and would like to evaluate ePals as a tool. Our students in San Francisco are working with another school abroad. We are interested in showing local culture in both places and using technology to communicate. Some topics are food, school, and uniforms. The students in the US speak English. Our students are interested in photography and global exchange. After their initial introduction to email, they are interested in other classes abroad who are also interested in intercultural exchange through photography."

Another question to parents who homeschool?

Stress. The main con is that one parent usually can't work full-time (although some people do manage to have both parents work while homeschooling). Another is that you'll be seen as 'different' by many homeschooling parents...on here and in person) for young children, there's no need for any sort of schedule
