Should I let my 14 year old daughter go live with her dad in another state? Scenario at home:
Daughter lies, steals and is generally lazy
Ok Grades reading disability / ADHD
Never gets out of the hole she has dug
Never gets to go anywhere with friends
Is always in trouble for one thing or another
Does not care about anything anymore (whats the point)
My H insists on punishments that never end.
Has locked cupboard with food that is “his”
Has locked Closet with off limit food
Bedroom Locked
Office Locked Basement Locked TV Locked Frig and Freeze in garage locked
Me Stuck in the Middle
Make lists/check off for D to help keep on track
Spend time with D just her and I
Try to explain why all the locked doors and why H is the way he is\
Reasons I think she would be better off at Dad’s
Smaller School more one on one
Grandparents available all the time
More freedom to be herself
So I don’t know what to do, I love her immensely, and I hate the situation at home for her, I love my H we get along splendid, I just don’t think her growing up this way is right, and I don’t know how to change it.
