I am set to be sentenced on November 17, 2009 for ...

I am set to be sentenced on November 17, 2009 for one count of felony theft by embezzlement.  I have never been in trouble before, I do have 2 jobs so that I can start paying restitution immediately, I was very cooperative in the investigation, etc.  I do have a husband and a 9-year old daughter.  My question is should I and how do I go about asking for leniency in my sentence and how likely am I to receive it?  Should I have family members, friends, counselors also write letters?  My lawyer wants to do a blind plea which I really don't understand.  He wants me to plead guilty and ask for a deffered sentence, probation, community service.  He also though I believe wants to throw in there 20-30 days of jail time.  That makes me very nervous as what if the judge is willing to sentence me without any jail time?  Any advice here is greatly appreciated.

First, I do not know the state you are in, or what the amount embezzled was.  Those will be factors in determining if jail will be imposed.   ABything you can use to show your (otherwise) good character ; character witnesses, letters, etc can help persuade the judge t keep you out of jail.

I NEVER RECOMMEND A BLIND PLEA
