Am I like this or any other better person in this world? I think I have to follow some significant people. If you know, please tell me ‘who has led the most significant life’?
WARREN BUFFETT has led a fantastic life-given millions to charity.
Hmm Warren Buffet. It's easy to give money when you are rich. But he has scorned his grandaughter and cut her off because she gave an interview without his permission. He even went as far as penning a letter to her saying he has no grandaughter. As for me I find these people are doing a wonderful job without much money and money raised only through public awareness. http://learningtogive.org/papers/paper199.html Also this person http://www.hungersolutions.org/open-your-heart-hungry-and-homeless And I don't want to bring politics into it but Jimmy Carter. At his age he is still going out and building houses for habitat for humanity. He isn't like Bush who is leaving Washington to go enjoy his new house in Texas his wife bought him for Christmas. As for Warren Buffet I guess he is charatable as long as you go for his program and do what he says. Just ask his grandaughter. Oh I forgot he doesn't have one now.

Significance is in the eye of the worshipful. Just be yourself. Love as many people as you can and be loved by as many people as you can. Try to help people in small ways every day and try to give some real help and effort to someone in need every year. That is my life philosophy. You don't have to donate millions to make a difference in someone's life. Help an elderly woman carry her grocery bags to her car. Stop to help that person with the flat tire at the side of the road. Those small kindnesses will be much appreciated and will renew your spirit every day.
Great answer, LMarie! 2 TU2U!!
If I had to name a single human with the most concentrated significance ( 10) as of 2000, it would be Douglas R. Hofstadter. Dr. Hofstadter's Copycat is a significant advance in AI, he has sponsored an AI paradigm shift in the right direction, and he has inspired millions through his Pulitzer Prize-winning and amazingly good book, "Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid". (For more about Gödel, Escher, Bach, see the bookshelf. (Also you can associate with http://www.annamorten.com/ to know more about) Runners-up include K. Eric Drexler ( 11), Douglas Lenat, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Francis Bacon, and Socrates. Advancing contenders are: Vernor Vinge and Hans Moravec.
The road to nowhere is paved with good intentions.
Hi Michael. I must say Jesus Christ. What a profound human being, never saying or doing anything that hurt another living Soul. His whole life, even after his death was dedicated to teaching us the true meaning of love, mercy and compassion for one another.. with a driving force to serve God and see better days. To spend eternity in Heaven! He lived a truly significant life that He wanted all of us to have and participate in, and completely understand. Jesus is a hero.
