I've been learning the acoustic guitar for about 8 and a half months, and can play around a couple of dozen songs. It's not that I'm a lousy player.....it's more likely that I'm a lousy teacher !

When I was learning  how to play. I got the sheet music for, Stairway to Heaven. I practiced it a few times to get used to the chords, and then, I would put the song/ record, on the record player and try to play along with it. I did this with all different kinds of music that I liked and it was really kool. The better I got at it the harder I tried to learn all the different styles...and create my own. I never got good enough to play with Led Zepplin but it sure has become a great passtime for me...all my life

Good luck and enjoy...George
