Have you looked into Rosetta Stone? You can order their programs online. I have heard great things about them.
If you are in China now, I think learning will be much more easier. First, you should learn the basic things, such as Chinese pinyin and Chinese characters. Then you should keep practicing, which is a very important part of your learning. Try to make more Chinese friends and communicate with them, then what use what you learned so it is more familiar with you.
