Freedom of speach embodies to speak to the human conscience, to speak your belief and/or conviction, even if its against the ruling governments.  People dont have to like what you say.  People dont have to agree with what you say.  But people should not imprison you because they dont like your words.  That does not mean you can entice a riot, start a revolution, treat classes of people with contempt.  You may not slander and make unsubstantiated claims about a person without proof because they can sue you for slander.  You can speak respectfully without hurting others, and speak with your heart and conscience.
